 Baisakhi 2023 Baisakhi is a harvest festival celebrated in the northern state of Punjab, India, and by the Sikh community worldwide. It usually falls on the 13th or 14th of April every year and marks the beginning of the Sikh New Year. As for Baisakhi 2023, it will fall on Thursday, 13th April 2023. The day is usually marked by a series of festivities, including processions, traditional dances, and the preparation and consumption of special foods. In Sikhism, Baisakhi also holds significant religious importance as it commemorates the establishment of the Khalsa, the Sikh community's military brotherhood, by Guru Gobind Singh in 1699.  

Keshub Mahindra Keshub Mahindra is an Indian businessman who was the Chairman of the Mahindra Group, one of India's leading business conglomerates, from 1997 to 2012. He is known for his contributions to the Indian business community, including his efforts to promote sustainability and environmental responsibility in the country's corporate sector. Keshub Mahindra was also involved in the infamous Bhopal gas tragedy, which occurred in December 1984 when a gas leak from a Union Carbide plant in Bhopal, India, killed thousands of people and caused widespread environmental damage. At the time, Mahindra was the Managing Director of Union Carbide India Limited (UCIL), a subsidiary of Union Carbide Corporation, which owned the Bhopal plant. Mahindra was among the eight individuals who were convicted for their role in the disaster in 2010. However, he was released on bail and did not serve any jail time due to his age and health.
